Elite TeamBuilders
Our Mission: Elite TeamBuilders was created to re-energize your team into a more productive group in a conference environment; to jump start new projects or revitalize existing ones, to give your team a break from their busy work schedules, cell phones and technology; to give your team time to slow down a little to just think about the business; to facilitate out-of-the-box solutions for issues facing your company or department.
Why a Martial Arts Setting?
One definition of a Black Belt in the business world is defined as a leadership structure for Six-sigma process improvement teams. Black Belts are highly-regarded, technically-oriented product or line personnel who have an ability to lead teams as well as to advise management. In martial arts it is the highest level of belt one can achieve resulting from years of training, perserverance, loyalty, teaching ability, team building and technical expertise.
Why a martial arts setting? Because these are the kind of people that most corporate leaders want on their team. The obvious question is; I am not a martial artist--I know nothing about martial arts and I am not in shape, so why do I want to do this for myself and team? Or; the whole martial arts thing intimidates me why do I want to take the corporate risk in bringing my team to a conference at a martial arts school?
First, it is different. The martial arts portion is a small one but a fun one. There is little risk of injury, no one will feel silly about doing the drills because everyone starts at the same level (and for those that might feel awkward what's wrong with a little humility once in a while).
Second, having everyone participate on a level playing field makes team building easier. There are no ranks or corporate positions.
Third, getting outside one's comfort zone is healthy and energizes the creative juices.
Fourth, it is practical. Your team members will learn some very practical street self defense.
